Join Joe McNally for a day long photo workshop at Ellis Island. This photo workshop is done in cooperation with the Save Ellis Island Foundation. Course outline includes:
*Breakfast snacks, juice, coffee provided, mid morning
*Lunch: Box lunch and beverages provided
*Access to off limits areas of the historically significant hospital wing of Ellis Island, abandoned for many years
*Round trip ferry transportation provided on the early morning staff ferry from Manhattan, exact time TBD
*Access to main Ellis Island Museum at the end of the day
*Participants have free rein to roam in most rooms. Tripods encouraged
*Brief slideshow of historical images of Ellis Island and flash lighting (portraiture) demo included

I CONFIRM THAT I HAVE READ AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING: There are no restrooms, seating areas, gift shops or restaurants on the south side. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. The south side buildings and grounds consist of historic unrestored buildings we advise that you wear closed toe and closed heel shoes to avoid possible tripping injury. Please do not wear flip-flops or other loose shoes or sandals. We reserve the right to exclude you from the tour if our guides think your footwear is inappropriate for this tour. You must wear a hard-hat at all times on the south side of the island — Save Ellis Island will provide one for you at the time of the tour. In many of the buildings the doors and windows are missing and in some cases rooms have open walls. This allows for dust and other natural elements, leaves, tree branches, etc. to enter the buildings creating dust and other hazards. You are required to stay with your guide at all times or you may be asked to leave the tour. In this case, a staff member of Save Ellis Island or the Park Police will have to escort you back to the Immigration Museum. Feel free to take as many still photographs as you like, however, you will be expected to keep up with the tour guide and the group. You may not video the south side (unrestored hospital and grounds) without prior approval.

CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellation notices must be received in writing and will become effective as of the date of the postmark. Per-person charges for cancellations that occur between 30 - 45 days prior to workshop: 50% of the workshop cost; 29 or fewer days prior to workshop: 100% of the workshop cost. We reserve the right to cancel any workshop because of inadequate enrollment that makes the workshop economically infeasible to operate or because of good-faith concerns with respect to the safety, health, or welfare of the participants. Fancy Girl Street Boy Productions will provide you with a full refund if a workshop is cancelled.
