BARCELONA

BARCELONA

Venturing from ancient streets and eccentric design to an array of 9 UNESCO World Heritage sites, Barcelona has it all. Incredible food at the stunning Boqueria markets, fiestas, Roman, Gothic, and the renowned “Catalan Modernisme” architect, Antoni Gaudi.   We'll also explore the popular La Rambla, a wide pedestrianized swathe down the city centre, to the medieval alleys of El Born,  with its cafes by day, and cocktail bars and samba at night. A day trip to the 1000 year old Abbey of Monserrat and an adventure at a boutique cava vineyard, Spain's answer to champagne round out our journey.

  • La Rambla, Boqueria, & Flamenco

Fun facts

Barcelona is older than Roma and had no beaches until the 1992 Olympics.

It has 68 parks and has the largest football stadium in Europe.

Construction on Guadi’s masterpiece the Sagrada Familia began in 1882. Over a hundred years later, the massive church is still being built.

La Rambla, the main street in Barcelona, originally functioned as a stream filled with sewage. In the 14th century, the stream was diverted and the street was developed.
